Don’t take our word for it
I highly recommend Oregonians Credit Union for anyone searching for a loan, refinancing, or just advice. I have been a customer for some time and I have zero complaints and tons of kudos and complements. Thank you Chelsy for making everything effortless and efficient and thank you Linda for pointing me in the right direction. Great credit union!
Friendly and supportive assistance in increasing credit limits. Chelsey was very helpful and friendly.
Jennifer Wisdom was a great help. She made the loan application fast, efficient, and have me different options to work with that meet my income. I feel stress free afterwards and will continue to keep my long term Oregonians membership. You guys rock
We've banked with OCU since we moved to Portland three years ago. Recently I became dissatisfied with the bank that was handling my main credit card and decided to apply for one from OCU. The process was Seay and surprisingly fast, and the manager at our local branch was very professional and efficient in handling it.
I have to say EVERYONE is absolutely amazing at the Prineville branch. We walk into the branch and each and everyone of the staff know our names and are never too busy to help us. Beth and Trish have been so amazing when we have ever needed a credit card and loan. They have an answer for you within 1 to 2 hours....yes hours not 3 to 5 business days like other banks in the area. I highly recommend if you are not a member...you need to become a member here.
We started here a year ago, over the course of the year I have moved my business accounts, personal accounts(including my 15yr old son) my car loans and credit cards! It's been amazing experience with how helpful everyeve has been. Best banking decision to leave all the chain banks and to Oregonians!
What does a $5,000 credit card really cost if you only make the minimum payment?
13.50% APR
$3,801
The average "low interest" credit card rate is 13.66% APR.
22.50% APR
$15,446
The average rewards credit card rate is 22.58% APR.
30.00% APR
$49,250
The average airlines rewards credit card rate is 30.27% APR.
These amounts are just interest payments and don’t include the original $5,000 balance. Unless you pay your entire balance off each month, we recommend you use a credit card with the lowest interest rate you can get.
Disclosure regarding this information: A minimum payment of 2.5% of the credit card balance was used to determine the interest payment calculations, and hence the total amount paid over time. Most rewards and retail credit cards have a minimum payment requirement of 2%, which could more than double the estimated amounts presented over time. For instance, borrowing $5,000 at 30.00% APR while making minimum payments of 2% of the balance, will cost $132,072 by the time the $5,000 is paid off.
